Gissningsvis beror det på kärnan(?)

Från forums.linuxmint.com
The current kernel version depends on what version of Linux Mint one is using.
For Linux Mint 19 versions, the LTS (long-term-support) kernel is the 4.15 kernel series.
For Linux Mint 20 versions, the LTS (long-term-support) kernel is the 5.4 kernel series.
For Linux Mint 21 versions, the LTS (long-term-support) kernel is the 5.15 kernel series.

Om man leker med tanken, går det att backa kernelversionen på21.1 till kernel för 20.1?
Och vad händer med övriga funktioner i 21,1 i så fall? Enbart nyfiken! Musen får gå i lag med 20.1 :D

Kanske testa att mecka lite angående..
https://linuxmint.com/rel_virginia.php
The default touchpad driver in this edition is "libinput" (provided by the xserver-xorg-input-libinput package).
If you experience problems with it, you can switch to another driver called "synaptics" (provided by the xserver-xorg-input-synaptics package).
To know which driver is used by your input devices, run the following command:
grep -i "Using input driver" /var/log/Xorg.0.log
When both drivers are installed, "synaptics" takes priority.
To switch to the "synaptics" driver, install it with the command:
apt install xserver-xorg-input-synaptics
Then log out and log back in.
To go back to using "libinput", simply remove the "synaptics" driver:
apt remove xserver-xorg-input-synaptics
Then log out and log back in.
Note: You can also try installing the "evdev" driver (provided by the xserver-xorg-input-evdev).
